Comment: The book is entertaining, philosophical, thought-provoking, action-oriented and religious. Complete package: all in one. I loved Rama’s character but never thought that he was a champion of gender parity. The way the author has explained why Rama broke ‘ Shiv Dhanush ‘ instead of stringing it and why Sita went to Valmiki’s hermitage was a learning point for me. Equally learning and thought-provoking are his other logical reasoning in the rest of the chapters and actions of other characters. An excellent read and perfect keep in the library book. Would recommend reading to future generations to

It's important because it tells who we are. It's important because it sets us indias apart from the rest of the world, so that we don't have to look for an identity when we face the world. If Ramayana and Mahabharat were not there I am pretty sure the people of India would have been made to believe that they were barbarians before the foreigners came to the land and would never had taken any pride in being who they are.
