Comment: Wonderfully written book..The author has explained the incidents of ramayana from a perspective which is unique, interesting and logical and relevant to the present times as well. He has made suggestion about the changes in the modern value system to bring them in line with the values enshrined in the ramayana. It's a fresh look on the story we have heard and read so many times. Refreshing and thought provoking book for the faithfuls.

It's important because it tells who we are. It's important because it sets us indias apart from the rest of the world, so that we don't have to look for an identity when we face the world. If Ramayana and Mahabharat were not there I am pretty sure the people of India would have been made to believe that they were barbarians before the foreigners came to the land and would never had taken any pride in being who they are.
