Comment: Though I am an avid reader and follower of Ramcharitmanas by Tulsidas Ji. My first perception was that I knew all about Ramayana so nothing new will be there.. But after I started reading this book I came to know many new things which I was not aware of like how Ravana was born, what was the purpose behind that, who is vedvati , Kaikyee's seven stage thought process, Hanuman Ji's jugglery with his tail to set Lanka on fire and moreover there is a scientific logic given behind every event. The author has done a great research before penning down a book. He has thoroughly explained all the characters, events of the great epic. Above all I found that author has also highlighted his

It's important because it tells who we are. It's important because it sets us indias apart from the rest of the world, so that we don't have to look for an identity when we face the world. If Ramayana and Mahabharat were not there I am pretty sure the people of India would have been made to believe that they were barbarians before the foreigners came to the land and would never had taken any pride in being who they are.
